Our Story
We have loved going to the beach each summer since we were kids. When we had children of our own, we started going to the beach for the 4th of July with some friends from church. It became a yearly tradition! We distinctly remember the day our kids found out that the families we went to the beach with every year, weren’t actually their Aunts and Uncles and cousins, but just friends! You’d have thought it was the end of the world! But they are friends that are like family!
Now those kids have their own kids and the tradition continues! We’re entertaining our grandbabies and still vacationing together whenever we can!
For the 30+ years we’ve been going to the beach – we’ve faced it all – what to do on a rainy day? On the nights we cook in – where’s the best local place to get seafood? When and where are the farmer’s markets? On the nights we go out – what places take reservations? What places don’t? Can they take a party of 12? Do they have a kids menu? And yes, 6 of them are kids! (Well not anymore – 3 of them have their own kids now!)
Where are the best donuts?
I don’t to wait in line for an hour, who takes reservations?
I had no time to get my nails done before we left, can I take a rainy morning and escape for just an hour?
We wanted an all inclusive guide to answer all these questions – with the click of a button! This is how travel30a.com was begun – for our family.
